In 2017, Art Director Michael Forrest was tasked with the immense responsibility of redesigning Wakeboarding Magazine. Collaborating with an impeccable editorial team, we not only created a completely new brand experience – one that was in step with the adrenaline and mood of the sport – we reinvented the way we spoke about the sport. Through research and empathy, the team went back to the beginning of the sport and discovered who Wakeboarding Magazine was and who it should be. We discovered that our magazine had lacked a vital element. Soul.
So, we got back in the water. We cleared our throats. We flexed our muscles and came back with a new editorial strategy and design that not only reflected those raw emotions of riding but one that better served our advertising clients and most importantly our readers.
